Palo Seco, Llano de Catival, Panamá
Landscape masterplan for a 75-hectare site in Palo Seco, in the Llano de Catival, Veraguas Province, in the central-western region of Panamá. Defined by steep hills and narrow valleys with rivers and streams, the site was formerly used for livestock farming. The masterplan proposes its transformation following a detailed analysis of climatic and topographic conditions. Eleven plots of varying sizes are defined, each with distinctive views towards the ocean to the west and untouched jungle to the east. A new access path is carefully integrated into the terrain, ensuring permeability of the natural water system while providing access and services to all plots. The masterplan constitutes the first phase of a broader investigation into sustainable land development in balance with natural resources and the existing landscape.
