The project seeks to understand the history and complexity of the mining basins, working with the atmosphere of the Turón Valley and proposing an intervention that envisions a future arising from the diverse pasts of the site. A route is proposed, linking the various workspaces of the mine. Cleared of vegetation, this path leads to the former coal-loading platform, where a circular pavilion is built as a space for reflection and gathering. The timber structure, inspired by hoppers and pre-industrial constructions, is painted with black paint made from local coal. Its green roof, created with sod extracted from the site, merges with the landscape, connecting the pavilion to the valley. The reinterpretation of traditional references gives rise to a contemporary structure that is both abstract and poetic, encapsulating the layered narratives of the site.
